The Ford Laser is a compact car that was produced by Ford from 1981 to 2003. It was sold in Asia, Australasia, and parts of South America, and was based on the Mazda 323 platform. The Laser was available in sedan, hatchback, and station wagon body styles, and was known for its reliable and fuel-efficient performance. It was also available as a sporty GT model with a turbocharged engine and upgraded suspension. The Laser was replaced by the Ford Focus in some markets, while in others it continued to be sold under different names, such as the Mazda Familia and the Kia Sephia.
